Fitness Court® Ambassador Iyanna Alexander activates the first Fitness Court® Studio in the state of Louisiana!
Just north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana sits the small City of Baker. With just over 13,000 residents, Baker lacks private and public spaces to exercise with just one recreation center limited to only basketball courts for its residents. To help address the lack of access to physical amenities, city leadership made a commitment to reshape the landscape of community health and wellness. After looking into the National Fitness Campaign, there was collective interest in bringing the a Fitness Court® Studio to the residents of Baker.
On July 19, 2023 the City and National Fitness Campaign unveiled the state of Louisiana's first Fitness Court® Studio with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in Baker's vibrant Martin Luther King Park. At the forefront of this groundbreaking initiative is Iyanna Alexander, Baker’s own Fitness Court® Ambassador.
Meet Iyanna: From Track Star to Fitness Icon
Iyanna Alexander, the founder of FitNGeaux is no stranger to the world of fitness. Raised in Baker, Iyanna has always been driven by a passion for movement and wellness. Her journey as a collegiate track athlete at Mississippi Valley State University translated to the fitness community in Louisiana as a source of inspiration for many. FitNGeaux is more than just a fitness initiative; it's a call to action for individuals to step out of their comfort zones and embrace a healthier lifestyle, wherever they go.
The Fitness Court® Studio: A Hub of Health and Happiness
The Fitness Court® Studio in Baker is designed to revolutionize daily workouts. With the world's best outdoor gym targeting seven essential movements and the Fitness Court® App to guide users through their fitness journey, the Fitness Court® Studio is a haven for anyone looking to improve their health. Iyanna's role in the grand opening, demonstrating the exercises and sharing her expertise, underscored the transformative potential of both the Fitness Court® and Fitness Court® Studio classrooms. Since the grand opening in July 2023, Iyanna has hosted bootcamps and other workouts at the Fitness Court® Studio and plans to continue group workouts for the greater Baker community!
