Troy, NY
Home to four MVP Health Care Fitness Courts®, the City of Troy has given nearly 30,000 residents – within walking or biking distance – access to free, world-class outdoor fitness. Residents are served by Prospect Park, Knickerbacker Park, 112th Street Park and Beman Park, hitting four of the most active public parks in Rensselaer County.
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
Improving the health of society is central to the mission of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences so the launch of their MVP Health Care Fitness Court® in September 2022 was a perfect match for this campus community near downtown Albany. This site will have continual wellness programming integrated into the student’s curriculum and provides approximately 15,000 students, faculty, and residents a free outdoor fitness option that is within walking or biking distance from their homes.
SUNY Schenectady
Built adjacent to the Mohawk Hudson Bikeway and on a community college campus, the MVP Health Care Fitness Court® at SUNY Schenectady is a win-win. This site provides access to free fitness to 30,000 Schenectady County residents and visitors who can walk or bike to the Fitness Court®.
Haverstraw, NY
The Village of Haverstraw and the North Rockland School District put forth a joint effort to bring an MVP Health Care Fitness Court® to the heart of the village. The 12,000 person urban and ethnically diverse community was excited to collaborate with many local partners to bring accessible free fitness to Haverstraw adults of all ages and fitness levels.
Troy, NY
Sarah James is no stranger to health and fitness. So when MVP Health Care reached out to lead five weeks of free classes at Fitness Courts® across the Capital Region, the owner of The Balance Beast couldn’t wait to get started. Sarah loves that MVP Health Care is invested in building healthy communities and was excited to see her weekly classes grow in size each week.
Brockport, NY
The Village of Brockport launched their Fitness Court® in late July 2022 at Corbett Park. Providing access to nearly 12,000 residents within walking or biking distance, Corbett Park is the perfect location as it is connected directly to the NYS Empire Trail along the Erie Canal. This central location within the village also offers proximity to SUNY Brockport, local hospitals, group homes, and residential and apartment living.
West Seneca, NY
The Town of West Seneca launched their MVP Health Care Fitness Court® in August of 2022 at the West Seneca Soccer Complex, a heavily utilized facility that attracts walkers, runners and bikers. This location provided the perfect wellness hub where the Fitness Court® provides free, world-class outdoor fitness to the active residents and visitors to the soccer complex – serving approximately 7,000 residents within walking or biking distance.
Greece, NY
The Town of Greece opened their MVP Health Care Fitness Court® at Basil Marella Park in August 2022. An active community that has invested $2 million in health and wellness since 2014, Greece is home to over 45 miles of trails. The Basil Marella Park provides a central location near residential communities that is easily accessible through roads and sidewalks.
