Christine Turner, founder of CT Sculpt and a dedicated fitness coach, is transforming how her South Charlotte community engages with exercise by offering accessible outdoor workouts on the Fitness Court. Her approach blends physical fitness with mental well-being, creating an inclusive space for all abilities while giving back through disaster relief efforts and community initiatives.

Christine Turner, a certified personal trainer, run coach, and founder of CT Sculpt, is on a mission to make fitness accessible to everyone in her community. Based in South Charlotte, Christine’s approach to fitness is centered around practicality, creativity, and consistency, making her a perfect fit for the Fitness Court.

A lifelong athlete, Christine’s passion for movement began in her childhood, growing up playing competitive soccer in Upstate New York. After transitioning from a career in mental health counseling to personal training, Christine launched CT Sculpt in 2018 with the goal of providing fitness opportunities outside the confines of a traditional gym. Now, as a mother of three and an accomplished marathoner, Christine’s drive to promote healthy living continues to inspire individuals across all fitness levels.

For Christine, fitness isn’t just about physical strength but also about mental well-being. "I know I feel my best both physically and mentally when movement is a consistent part of my routine," she says. "I strive to model healthy choices to encourage and motivate others to prioritize exercise in their own lives."

That philosophy aligns perfectly with the purpose of the Fitness Court, which provides outdoor gyms for communities across the country. Christine has been making the most of the Fitness Court at Pineville Lake Park, using the space to host small group workout sessions. She emphasizes how the Fitness Court allows individuals to focus on foundational movement patterns that contribute to a balanced, total-body workout. “The Fitness Court provides a convenient and versatile space for people to come together and move,” she explains. “It’s accessible, and it brings a unique community element to fitness that’s hard to find elsewhere.”

Her current programming includes a six-week fall workout series, offering both full-series registration and drop-in class options. Participants benefit from Christine’s expert guidance and the dynamic environment of the Fitness Court, which serves as a powerful motivator for anyone looking to kickstart or refresh their fitness journey. The program has been well-received, with Christine expressing hopes to continue expanding her offerings based on participant interest and availability.

But Christine’s work extends beyond fitness; she is deeply committed to giving back. When Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina, she saw an opportunity to use her platform for good. On October 5th, 100% of the proceeds from her group class on the Fitness Court were donated to the NC Disaster Relief Fund, helping those impacted by the storm. “We love living in North Carolina, and I wanted to help our neighbors in need,” she shares. “It was a small way for our group to come together, not just for fitness, but for a greater cause.”

Christine’s ability to fuse community engagement with her fitness programs exemplifies her role as a true community champion. Through CT Sculpt, she empowers people to lead healthier, more active lives while also emphasizing the importance of supporting one another.

“The Fitness Court offers an accessible space for community connection,” Christine says. “It’s a place where people can come together as neighbors and friends to do something positive for themselves. The group dynamic can provide that extra push for people who may be struggling to stay motivated or who are looking to try something new.”

With her dedication to making fitness enjoyable and her ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Christine Turner is setting a powerful example. She reminds us that fitness doesn’t have to be complicated—it just needs to be consistent and fun. Whether she’s leading a class on the Fitness Court, coaching a runner through a marathon, or raising funds for disaster relief, Christine is committed to making a lasting impact, one workout at a time.

Christine incorporates the Fitness Court into her daily health & wellness routine.

As Christine continues to grow her fitness programs, she invites everyone to find joy in movement. “Fitness can be fun and flexible,” she says. “Whether it’s a brisk walk, a group workout, or a session on the Fitness Court, consistency is key—and when you enjoy what you’re doing, it’s easier to stick with it.”

Through her work, Christine is truly making fitness a part of the fabric of her community, and we’re proud to support her efforts as she champions both physical and mental well-being for all!
