Julie Strickland, Columbus County Recreation Director, knew when she saw the Fitness Court that it would be a great fit for their existing development and park plans. She explained that “…Initial development objectives were to meet fitness and wellness needs of the county. This park property already serves annual events that promote better health and wellness.”

In addition to the new outdoor Fitness Court, the centrally located Fitness Park features a ½ mile walking trail, making free fitness easily accessible to all!  NFC is thrilled to bring the Campaign to North Carolina, and act as a model for other counties nationwide who prioritize healthy living.
