The first new Fitness Court in Cook County, Illinois has launched in the Park District of Forest Park! Alongside a handful of cities statewide to join the National Fitness Campaign in 2018, Forest Park area residents can now enjoy outdoor fitness designed for adults of all ages — absolutely free!

The Park District of Forest Park, located just 10 miles west of downtown Chicago, is a 15-acre park that boasts space for numerous outdoor activities and events: bocce ball, a full-size soccer field, an outdoor aquatic facility and the national softball hall of fame, to name a few. The Fitness Court is perfectly suited for this active location, providing yet another free resource residents can access for a full body workout!

PDofFP Launch11.jpg named Forest Park the number one suburb in Illinois for millennials, so bringing this healthy hub a new Fitness Court was a no-brainer! As the city expands, leaders have made it a priority to provide the newest modern infrastructure available to community members. This progressive, value-driven city is small and mighty, providing state-of-the-art facilities for all its residents.

“The addition of the Fitness Court to the Park District of Forest Park demonstrates our commitment to health and fitness in our community,” said Rachel Entler, Recreation Supervisor for the Park District. “Free fitness access is essential to promoting healthy habits. I am excited to be able to this available to the residents of Forest Park and the surrounding communities.”
