University of the Cumberlands Launches 2019 Collegiate National Fitness Campaign

NFC Welcomes University of the Cumberlands, first to build a Fitness Court in the 2019 Collegiate Campaign!

NFC’s all-new 2019 Collegiate Fitness Campaign launched as part of an ongoing effort to bring the world’s best gym outdoors, and encourage students, residents and staff of elite institutions nationwide to explore all the pathways to wellness. The University of the Cumberlands was awarded $30,000 to seed their first Fitness Court, and selected a highly visible and active location along the main thoroughfare of campus to make their statement on healthy living.

The outdoor gym sits centrally on he school’s All-Purpose Fields and Recreation Complex, providing free and accessible fitness for all. The Patriots Fitness Court — covered in their iconic navy and red — is a beautiful system designed for both students and local community members.

“University of the Cumberlands is beyond excited to offer another health and wellness initiative for our students, staff, and community members,” said Dr. Josh Hatfield, Director of Campus Rec. “Through a partnership with National Fitness Campaign, Cumberlands will be the site of the very first fitness court on a college campus in the state of Kentucky. As always, it’s a great day to be a Patriot!”
